Job summary

Inova Fair Oaks Hospital is seeking a dedicated Sterile Processing Technician 2 for a full-time evening shift (2:00 PM – 10:30 PM). The role includes decontaminating instruments, assembling trays, and maintaining inventory, with opportunities to lead within the department.

Responsibilities

• Decontaminates instruments in a safe, proper manner.
• Assembles instrumentation accurately and ensures sterility of processed items.
• Maintains instrument inventory and ensures timely distribution to customers.
• Assumes a leadership role within the department.
• Serves as a resource in at least 2 specialty areas.
• May perform additional duties as assigned.

Inova Fair Oaks Hospital is looking for a dedicated Sterile Processing Technician 2 to join the team. This role will be a Full-time Monday - Friday Evening Shift 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM.

Sterile Processing Technicians 2 Job Responsibilities:

• The Sterile Processing Tech 2 decontaminates instruments in a safe and appropriate manner.
• Assembles instrumentation accurately and efficiently and ensures sterility of all processed items.
• Maintains instruments inventory and ensures timely distribution of instruments to all customers. Prioritizes instruments and assembles complex trays.
• Assumes a leadership role within the department.
• Serves as a resource in at least 2 specialty areas/procedures.
• May perform additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Education: High School diploma or GED
• Experience: One-year Sterile Processing experience required.
• Certification CRCST or CBSPD certification from The International Association of Healthcare Central Service Materiel Management (CRCST) or Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD).
