UCSF is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to decontaminate, assemble, package, and distribute surgical instruments, implants, and equipment across the Medical Center and nursing units. The role requires flexibility to orient to all UCSF Medical Center locations and maintain accurate documentation.
Must have a high school credential or GED and SPD certification; candidates should be able to operate sterilizers, washers, ultrasonic cleaners, and basic computer systems.
Job Summary: Incumbent decontaminates, operationally checks, assembles, and distributes surgical instrumentation, implants, supplies, and equipment for the OR, Nursing Units, and Ancillary Departments. Incumbent maintains documentation related to these duties. Incumbent operates and maintains sterilization equipment, decontamination equipment, and computer systems related to these duties. This position requires the flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Medical Center locations.
