Job summary

Ardent is seeking a dedicated Sterile Processing Tech for day shift in Tulsa, OK. This full-time role involves decontamination, assembly, and sterilization of surgical instruments, with a focus on accurate documentation and adherence to safety standards.

You will work under the Sterile Processing Supervisor and may serve as a preceptor to new staff or cross-training to the Operating Room team. High school diploma or GED is required, and CRCST/CSPDT/CST certification must be obtained within one

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Must obtain CRCST, CSPDT or CST certification within one year of hire.
• CRCST, CSPDT or CST certificate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Decontaminate, assemble, and sterilize surgical instruments.
• Clean patient care equipment and maintain cleanliness of processing areas.
• Ensure accurate documentation of the sterilization process and report abnormalities to leadership.
• Participate in reprocessing of loaner and consignment sets.
• Under Educator guidance, may precept to new staff or OR staff cross-training to Sterile Processing.

• Hillcrest Medical Center is a 656-bed hospital that includes The Alexander Burn Center, The Peggy V. Helmerich Women’s Health Center, Kaiser Rehabilitation Center, the latest technology for the treatment of cancer, and the Oklahoma Heart Institute.

• Under the direction of the Sterile Processing Supervisor, the Sterile Processing Tech is responsible for the decontamination, assembly, and sterilization of surgical instruments, and the cleaning of patient care equipment.
• Ensure accurate documentation of the sterilization process and actively reports abnormalities to leadership.
• Participate in proper receiving and reprocessing activities related to loaner and consignment sets.
• Under the direction of the department Educator, may serve as preceptor to new staff or Operating Room staff cross-training to Sterile Processing.

Job Requirements:
