Job summary

Ardent Health Services in Tulsa, OK is seeking an Evening Shift Sterile Processing Tech. You will perform decontamination, assembly, and sterilization of surgical instruments and care for patient equipment to support safe procedures.

Under supervision, you will document sterilization steps, participate in reprocessing of loaner sets, and may precept new staff or OR team members as needed. Must obtain CRCST/CSPDT/CST within 12 months of hire.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Must obtain CRCST, CSPDT or CST within one year of hire.
• CRCST, CSPDT or CST certificate is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform decontamination, assembly, and sterilization of surgical instruments.
• Clean patient care equipment and ensure proper documentation of sterilization processes.
• Assist with receiving and reprocessing loaner and consignment sets.
• May serve as preceptor to new staff or OR staff cross-training.

• Hillcrest Medical Center is a 656-bed hospital that includes The Alexander Burn Center, The Peggy V. Helmerich Women’s Health Center, Kaiser Rehabilitation Center, the latest technology for the treatment of cancer, and the Oklahoma Heart Institute.
• Under the direction of the Sterile Processing Supervisor, the Sterile Processing Tech is responsible for the decontamination, assembly, and sterilization of surgical instruments, and the cleaning of patient care equipment.
• Ensure accurate documentation of the sterilization process and actively reports abnormalities to leadership.
• Participate in proper receiving and reprocessing activities related to loaner and consignment sets.
• Under the direction of the department Educator, may serve as preceptor to new staff or Operating Room staff cross-training to Sterile Processing.

Job Requirements:
