Job summary

Mercy Gilbert Medical Center is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to ensure sterile instruments are readily available for surgical teams. You will process, sterilize, assemble trays, and maintain accurate inventory to support patient care.

You will uphold rigorous sterilization protocols, demonstrate meticulous attention to detail, and collaborate with clinicians to ensure safe, efficient procedures at this non-profit, community-focused facility in Gilbert, Arizona.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or GED.
• Preferred completion of a surgical instrument technician program or two years surgical instrument experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and delivers case carts using aseptic technique.
• Decontaminates surgical instruments and equipment.
• Assembles, packages and labels instruments for sterilization.
• Answers phone, fills orders, and stocks supplies.
• Operates high/low temp sterilization and disinfection processes.

Job Summary And Responsibilities

As our Sterile Processing Tech at Mercy Gilbert Medical Center, you will be a vital link in patient care, ensuring the highest quality, sterile instrumentation is always available to medical teams.

Every day, you will meticulously process and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment, assembling trays, conducting quality checks, and maintaining inventory. You'll provide excellent service to patients, physicians, and staff, ensuring tools are safe and ready for procedures.

To be successful in this role, you will possess exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a rigorous commitment to sterilization protocols, working efficiently and expertly to support optimal outcomes.

• Prepares and delivers case carts. Utilizes aseptic technique when handling and distributing sterile instruments and supplies.
• Decontaminates surgical instruments, power equipment, flexible endoscopes and other medical devices.
• Ability to assemble, package and label, clinics surgical services and all other hospital instrumentation for various methods of sterilization.
• Answers telephone, fills orders, issues and stocks supplies
• Utilizes various methods of high/low temp sterilization and disinfection processes.

Pay Range

$18.60 - $23.71 /hour
