Job summary

Destin Surgery Center in Destin, FL is seeking a Sterile Processing Tech for a full-time, on-site role at our center dedicated to high-quality ambulatory surgical services. The position supports multiple specialty areas and requires attention to detail and teamwork.

As a Sterile Processing Tech, you will maintain instruments, prepare supplies for cases, and ensure instrument readiness for procedures across ENT, general surgery, GI, gynecology, ophthalmology, orthopedics and more.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–2 years of sterile processing experience.
• Sterile process certification preferred.
• Experience with all types of sterilizers.
• Knowledge of OR instrumentation and procedures.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and departmental supply items.
• Ability to adapt to changing patient conditions.

Sterile Processing Tech at Destin Surgery Center

The Sterile Processing Technician maintains and cares for all surgical instruments. Prepares supplies and instruments for surgery cases.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Minimum of 1-2 years of Sterile Processing experience
• Completion of a Sterile Process Certification program is preferred
• Experience with all types of sterilizers
• Knowledge of operating room instrumentation and procedures
• Familiarity with medical terminology and departmental supply items
• Ability to quickly adapt to changing conditions of the patient when needed
