Job summary

MemorialCare is seeking a Sterile Processing Supervisor to lead the Sterile Processing team in Long Beach, ensuring safe reprocessing of instruments and equipment. You will guide staffing, evaluate performance, and ensure regulatory compliance with AAMI, AORN, TJC and OSHA standards.

You will collaborate with OR leadership, physicians, and clinical teams to meet procedural readiness and drive quality improvements, with a focus on service delivery and inventory control.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business administration or equivalent required.
• HSPA or CBSPD certification required.
• CIS/CER/CHL certifications preferred.
• Minimum 4 years' relevant experience; 3+ years leadership preferred.
• Experience with regulatory compliance (AAMI, AORN, TJC, OSHA) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct supervisory leadership to Sterile Processing personnel.
• Develops staffing plans and manages schedules for coverage.
• Conducts performance evaluations and coaching in partnership with HR.
• Recruits and develops staff to meet objectives and succession planning.
• Ensures compliance with IFUs, AAMI, AORN, OSHA, CMS policies and procedures.
• Leads quality assurance activities, audits, and process validation.
• Oversees instrument reprocessing, inventory, and customer service support.
• Monitors metrics and drives improvement in quality and productivity.
• Oversees orientation, competency, certification support and development.
• Manages surgical instrumentation and related inventories.
