Job summary

The VA Northeast Ohio Healthcare System VA Medical Center is seeking a Supervisory Medical Supply Technician to lead day-to-day operations in the Sterile Processing Service (SPS). The incumbent will supervise staff, coordinate decontamination, preparation, sterilization, and distribution of equipment, and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.

Qualifications include U.S. citizenship, English proficiency, and either six months of experience or one year of health care related education;

Qualifications

• Six months of experience or education that demonstrates ability to perform the work or understand the work.
• One year above high school with health care related courses or equivalent experience.
• Equivalent combination of experience and education acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day SPS operations and staff performance.
• Coordinate decontamination, preparation, sterilization, and distribution of equipment.
• Monitor workflow, adjust schedules, and ensure quality and safety standards.
• Provide training and assess staff needs and performance.
