Job summary

Jax Spine and Pain Center in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to decontaminate, inspect, assemble, sterilize and distribute instruments for outpatient procedures. You will work closely with OR staff to ensure timely instrument readiness and maintain sterile conditions.

Preferred candidates will hold CRCST/CSPDT/CBSPD credentials with at least 1 year of sterile processing experience and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, in a fast-paced surgical environment.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a Sterile Processing / Central Service Technician training program preferred.
• Certificate as CRCST, CSPDT, or CBSPD desirable.

Responsibilities

• Decontaminate, inspect, assemble, sterilize and distribute surgical instruments and equipment.
• Maintain sterilization records and comply with regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with OR staff to ensure timely instrument availability.
• Monitor inventory and storage to prevent contamination and expiration.
• Adhere to infection control procedures and participate in quality improvement.
