Job summary

Piedmont Healthcare is seeking a Central Sterile Technician to maintain standards for sterilization and instrument assembly in a fast-paced perioperative setting. You will perform sterilization, assemble and store medical supplies, and collaborate with Perioperative Nursing to provide sterile instrument sets and case carts.

Superior customer service is essential for timely support. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, graduation from a Central Sterile Tech program (or CST

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED is required.
Graduate of a Central Sterile Tech program is required, or CST certification may be preferred.
In lieu of CST certificate, 3 years of Central Sterile experience are required.

Responsibilities

Maintains standards for set assembly, decontamination, inspection, containerizing and sterilizing surgical instruments in an accurate and timely manner.
Performs sterilization, assembly and storage of medical supplies and equipment.
Collaborates with the Perioperative Nursing staff to provide sterile instrument sets, equipment and case carts in an accurate and timely manner.
Assists in maintaining consistent and continuous workflow, providing superior customer service.
