Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Sterile Processing Instrument Technician to follow robust processes in Decontamination, Processing and Sterilization, ensuring instruments are clean and properly assembled for high level disinfection. You will maintain logs and documentation, prioritize processing, and dispatch instruments while adhering to Mercy Service Standards.

The role requires basic computer skills, PPE usage, and the ability to interact with staff across disciplines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to wear PPE.
• Must have basic computer skills.
• Must interact with staff across disciplines.
• Must be able to follow directions.
• Must be able to operate equipment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain documentation on written logs and/or computer systems for decontamination, processing, HLDisinfection or sterilization.
• Prioritize instrumentation for processing and dispatch instrumentation, equipment and supplies.
• Answer telephones and dispatch instrumentation and supplies.
