Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CSPDT, CRCST and IAHCSMM certifications to be obtained within 1.5 years where applicable.
• Ability to communicate effectively with the healthcare team and maintain aseptic technique.

Responsabilités

• Decontaminates instruments in a safe and appropriate manner.
• Prepares trays of surgical instruments and packs.
• Operates steam and Sterrad sterilizers following procedures and instructions.
• Gives verbal reports to the oncoming shift and completes shift reports.
• Demonstrates good aseptic technique and infection control practices.
• Attends inservice and educational programs as required.
