Job summary

ERP International, LLC seeks a full-time Central Sterile Supply Tech to support Naval Hospital Beaufort, SC and clinics. Mon-Fri schedule, 8.5 hours between 6am and 7pm, with a 30-minute lunch, no weekends.

Responsibilities include receiving, decontaminating, inspecting, and sterilizing surgical instruments, assembling trays, and adhering to OSHA PPE requirements. Must hold central sterile certification and pass background checks.

Qualifications

• Certificate required in central sterile processing or related field.
• Completion of a central sterile supply training course.
• One year of experience as a central sterile supply technician.

Responsibilities

• Receive, disassemble and inspect reusable medical devices and surgical instrumentation for damage.
• Receive and dispose of regulated medical waste, general waste and soiled linen.
• Comply with OSHA regulations governing PPE in the decontamination area.
• Determine and execute decontamination methods (wiping, soaking, rinsing, scrubbing, ultrasonic, washer) as appropriate.
• Examine items after decontamination to ensure cleanliness and instrument function.
• Label and identify all medical devices and instrumentation.
• Assemble and prepare trays and instrument sets; select wrapping materials and sterilization method (ETO or Steam).
• Stock and store sterile items in a sterile storage room per procedures.
