Job summary

The Sterile Processing Technician position involves caring for and preparing surgical instruments and supplies. You will maintain inventory levels, order supplies for the area, and perform sterilizer testing with accurate record-keeping.

Strong knowledge of aseptic technique and instrument handling is required, along with the ability to read safety rules and operation manuals. Excellent communication and documentation skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of standard precautions, aseptic technique and principles of sterilization and instrument handling.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
