Job summary

Surgery Partners, Inc. Forest Surgery Center is seeking a detail-oriented Sterile Processing Technician to join our dedicated team. You will clean, sterilize, assemble, and distribute instruments to support a safe outpatient surgical environment.

Responsibilities include decontamination, sterilization, tray assembly, and accurate recordkeeping while adhering to OSHA, CDC, AAMI and AORN standards. This fast-paced, team-oriented role offers competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of a sterile processing technician training program preferred.
• Certification in CBSPD or HSPA/IAHCSMM preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow strict protocols.
• Basic computer skills and ability to accurately complete documentation.

Responsibilities

• Decontaminate, clean, and disinfect instruments per protocols.
• Operate autoclaves and low-temperature sterilizers.
• Assemble and inspect instrument trays per procedures.
• Maintain records of sterilization processes and equipment maintenance.
• Ensure inventory levels of sterile supplies and proper rotation.
• Collaborate with clinical staff to deliver sterile instruments.
• Adhere to infection control, safety, and regulatory standards (OSHA, CDC, AAMI, AORN).
