Responsibilities

• Clean, inspect, assemble, and sterilize surgical instruments and trays.
• Operate sterilization equipment including autoclaves and washer-disinfectors.
• Follow AAMI, AORN, and OSHA guidelines for infection prevention and safety.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure proper inventory management.
• Communicate effectively with surgical and clinical staff.
• Leadership roles include overseeing daily operations, mentoring staff, ensuring department compliance, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
