Job summary

HCA Houston Healthcare Northwest is seeking a Sterile Processing Manager to lead and advance the sterile processing team in a 415+ bed acute care hospital. You will oversee decontamination, instruments prep and all forms of sterilization, ensuring patient safety and cost-conscious operations.

With 3–5 years of supervisory experience in sterile processing, you will coordinate instrument needs with department staff and outside vendors, schedule staff, and present leadership across the unit to

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years supervisory experience in sterile processing.
• Training in decontamination, instrument prep and sterilization.
• Knowledge of patient safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate leadership and manage department goals.
• Ensure decontamination, instrument prep and sterilization are performed to standard.
• Coordinate instrument needs departmentally or from outside vendors.
• Schedule staff and supervise activities; provide unit leadership.

Job Summary And Qualifications

What you will do in the role:

• Demonstrates working to achieve goals set in previous evaluation.
• Demonstrates professional behavior and conduct at all times. Maintains good working relationships with other team members and other hospital departments
• Shows competent functional, technical knowledge and skills to effectively perform decontamination
• Shows competent functional, technical knowledge and skills to effectively perform Instruments prep.
• Shows competent functional, technical knowledge and skills to effectively perform all forms of Sterilization
• Adheres to standards of practice, policy and procedure to ensure patient safety
• Demonstrates an awareness of cost containment and endeavors to conserve where possible
• Co-ordinates instrument needs departmentally or from outside vendors. Supervise staff schedules and activities. Present leadership/management and unit organization

Qualifications you will need:

• Vocational School Graduate
• (GVN) Graduate Vocational Nurse, or (CRCST) Certified Registered Central Service Technician
• 3 to 5 years Supervisory Experience.
