Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED with two years in Sterile Processing.
• Certification as CSPDT required; Sterile Processing Management certification encouraged within 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of the sterile processing cycle and educate SPD staff.
• Serve as Sterile Processing Supervisor when assigned.
• Lead SPD employees to meet department production requirements.
• Manage case carts and communicate issues to supervisor.
• Communicate instrument needs with supervisor, SPD liaisons, and OR coordinators.
• Ensure equipment functions properly and report issues.
• Maintain departmental compliance logs and assist with policy enforcement.
• Participate in special projects and interdepartmental committees.
• Adhere to policies to prevent spread of bloodborne and airborne diseases.
