Job summary

Barnes-Jewish West County Hospital is seeking a Sterile Processing Supervisor for the evening shift to lead the Central Sterile Processing team in a high-volume, acute-care setting. The role focuses on ensuring sterility, quality and efficiency across decontamination, prep, pack, and distribution of instruments.

Responsibilities include staff supervision, cross-department collaboration, and participation in budgeting and resource planning to meet department goals.

• Ensures quality, efficient decontamination, sterilization and distribution services.
• Manages service utilization and inventory levels.

Responsibilities

• Directs and supports sterile processing staff to provide quality, efficient decontamination, sterilization and distribution services.
• Collaborates with other departments to apply professional standards.
• Provides decontamination and sterilization evaluation planning, operations and maintenance consultation to management.
• Assists or manages unit operations and integration with other departments.
• Contributes to resource planning and space needs for the work unit.
• Monitors surgical schedules to ensure instruments are available.
• Participates in staffing, revenue and expense budget development and adherence.
