Job summary

Inova Mt Vernon Hospital is seeking a dedicated Sterile Processing Tech Lead to join our team on a full-time day shift (Mon-Fri, 10:00 AM–6:30 PM). This leadership role oversees decontamination, instrument processing, and staff workflow to ensure safe, efficient operations.

Qualifications

2 years of experience in Sterile Processing.
CRCST or CBSPD certification required.

Responsibilities

Decontaminates instruments in a safe and appropriate manner.
Unloads case carts, checking all items for red tags.
Sorts instrumentation and selects processing methods to ensure integrity and prevent damage.
Prepares instrumentation for decontamination, including flushing lumens and loading washers.
Operates washer/decontaminators, cart washers, sonic washers, and related equipment.
Documents functions using instrument tracking software in the decontamination area.
Supervises staff, assigns tasks, monitors productivity and workload.
Assists in meeting key deliverables and quality standards; escalates issues as needed.
