Job summary

UMass Memorial Health seeks a SPD Quality & Education Specialist to lead education and quality in the Sterile Processing (SP) department across campuses. You will plan, implement, and evaluate training programs and drive quality improvement with measurable results.

The role requires CRCST, LEAN, five years in SP, and educator/ supervisor experience, plus strong English communication and computer skills. Signing bonus may be available; on-site Worcester, MA location.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; CRCST certification.
• LEAN training within 6 months of employment.
• Minimum 5 years in Sterile Processing; 2 years educator/quality/supervisory.
• Strong knowledge of instrumentation, equipment, inventory management and case carts.
• Proficient English communication; computers and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate education and quality for all sterile processing departments.
• Coordinate orientation of new hires; plan and promote education and training.
• Provide educational programs and schedule in-services across three campuses.
• Create programs to improve service and product quality.
• Provide quality assurance programs and audits; support staff.
