Job summary

Crothall Healthcare coordinates education in the Central Service department, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of education for CS staff. The Educator role focuses on ensuring staff competency and regulatory alignment.

Extensive knowledge of IFU interpretation for surgical instrumentation, sterilizing equipment operation, and adherence to AORN, AAMI, JC, CMS, CDC, OSHA, and FDA requirements is essential.

Qualifications

• Must have at least two years in Sterile Processing and OR instrumentation experience.
• CRCST certification required upon hiring; CIS within 180 days; CHL within 180 days.
• Ability to maintain compliance with AORN, AAMI, JC, CMS, CDC, OSHA and FDA standards.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate education in the Central Service department from assessment to evaluation.
• Develop and deliver training and ensure staff competency and documentation.
• Audit sterilizers, washers and high-level disinfecting equipment for quality and compliance.
• Maintain employee training records and prepare meeting agendas and minutes.
