Job summary

Corewell Health is seeking a CPD Technician at Royal Oak Hospital to process and sterilize surgical instrumentation and related equipment. You will support the perioperative team, ensure instruments are in good working order, and handle distribution of supplies across departments.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent Required
3 years of relevant experience.
Sterile processing technician experience or related sterile processing Required and Demonstrated progressive leadership Required
CSPDT – CBSPD Certification Board for Sterile Processing & Distribution Upon Hire Required
CRCST – IAHCSMM Upon Hire Required
At least one License and/or Certification in area of specialty required upon hire: CIS/CER/CHL/CSPM/CFER

Responsibilities

Responsible for processing and sterilization of surgical instrumentation, diagnostic and biologic testing of central processing equipment.
Responsible for distribution of supplies to the hospital departments and nursing units as needed.
Identify process improvement and instrumentation needs with the perioperative team.
Act as a resource in specialty certifications and as a role model to peers.
