The Sterile Processing Academy is designed to give on the job training to new certified in Sterile Processing. Length of training is individualized based on the teammate's needs. After successful completion of the training program, the individual is interviewed for and slotted into an available Sterile Processing Tech position in the market.
During the Academy, the position is day shift. After Academy completion, various shifts and locations are available.

Responsible for the cleaning, assembling, packaging, maintenance, and sterilization of surgical instruments, supplies and equipment. Responsible for the daily checking of the autoclaves to insure proper function. Works with other department staff members to provide the necessary equipment, instruments, and supplies for posted procedures.
