Job summary

Bland Landscaping Company is seeking a dedicated Landscaper to support the Foreman in training and to perform landscape grounds maintenance across our NC service areas. You will dig, plant, rake, water, and clean up landscapes, and help load/unload equipment from trucks while maintaining safety and PPE standards.

The role requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, work in all weather conditions, and obtain the NC pesticide applicator’s license.

Qualifications

• Lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Able to bend and stoop repeatedly.
• Work outside in all weather conditions.
• Be around bees, poison ivy, pollen, thorns and other risks.
• Wear Bland landscaping uniforms and PPE as required.
• Practice safety with chemicals and equipment.
• Wear company eye and ear protection as required.
• Communicate well and motivate others.
• Willing to obtain NC pesticide applicator's license.
• Valid NC driver’s license or reliable transportation.
• Pass a criminal background check.
• Comply with Bland policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities

Landscaping responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• May be asked to help in other divisions such as installation or floriculture as needed.
• May be asked to help with snow removal in winter months.

Safe operation of the following landscaping equipment:

• Commercial Equipment Operation
• Push Mowers, Walk-Behing Mowers, Zero Turn Stand on Mowers, and Zero Turn Riding Mowers,
• Tillers, Aerators, Seeders.
• Commercial Hand Tools
• Weed Eaters, Edgers, Combi Units, Chainsaws, Hedge Trimmers, Backpack Blowers, Backpack Sprayers
• Hand tools such as shovels, picks, rakes and pruning tools.
