Responsibilities

• Assist Foreman in various landscaping tasks.

Job Title: Commercial Grounds Maintenance (CGM) Crew Member - Greensboro

Position Overview

The Commercial Grounds Maintenance (CGM) Crew Member is a hands-on landscaping position assisting with year-round commercial landscaping maintenance services.

Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To

• Assist the Crew Leader in training on all aspects of commercial grounds maintenance
• Digging, planting, raking, watering, and general clean-up of landscapes.
• Load and unload heavy equipment and planting materials from trucks.
• Ensure collection and inventory of company-owned equipment and tools daily
• Assist in other divisions such as installation or floriculture, as needed.
• Assist with snow removal operations during winter months, as required.
• Maintain reliable transportation to and from the branch location.
• Ensure the safe operation and basic routine maintenance of the following equipment:
• Mowers: Push, walk-behind, and ride-on mowers
• Turf Equipment: Tillers, aerators, and slit seeders
• Power Tools: Edgers, string trimmers, chainsaws, backpack blowers, sprayers
• Hand Tools: Shovels, picks, rakes, and pruning tools
  

Compensation And Benefits

• Pay Rate: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour (commensurate with experience)

Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a routine basis.
• Ability to bend and stoop on a continual basis.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Ability to work around environmental risks such as bees, poison ivy, pollen, thorns
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Must wear sturdy shoes, company-issued uniforms, and required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Must present oneself in a professional and polite manner.
• Must practice strict safety protocols when handling chemicals and operating equipment.
• Must wear company-provided eye and ear protection as required.
• Valid NC Driver’s license with a maintained clean driving record (CDL preferred).
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
• Willingness to obtain an NCDA pesticide applicator’s license.
• Good communication skills and the ability to motivate others.
• Must comply with all Bland Landscaping Company policies and procedures.
