Job summary

BayCare Health System in Clearwater is seeking a Sterile Processing Tech (Noncert) for Morton Plant. You will process instrumentation through decontamination, prep, packaging and sterilization, and act as a mentor to the department team.

The position is full-time, evenings (2:30pm-11:00pm), with on-site duties at Morton Plant in Clearwater. Certification within 24 months of hire is required after start, with hospital experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certification as a Sterile Processing Tech preferred.
• Hospital experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Decontaminate, prep, package and sterilize instrumentation per department procedures.

• Responsible for the decontamination, prepping, packaging and sterilization of all instrumentation processed through the department following established department procedures.
• Acts as preceptor, mentor and resource in support of department team members.

Minimum Requirements:

• High School or Equivalent
• Preferred - Certified Sterile Processing Tech
• Preferred - HospitalExperience

Other information:
Must become certified within 24 months of hire.
