Job summary

Eagle Analytical Services, INC. is seeking a Sterile Lab Microbiology Technician to support sterility testing operations in our Houston lab. You will prepare samples, enter data, and perform routine lab maintenance while upholding regulatory standards.

You will assist senior microbiologists, maintain clean lab spaces, and ensure accurate data handling. The role requires a Biol/Microbio degree and familiarity with BSC and SOPs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Microbiology, or a related field.
• Relevant laboratory experience is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Basic understanding of microbiological techniques and sterile procedures.
• Ability to work in a team and follow instructions precisely.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Familiarity with Biological Safety Cabinets (BSC) and sterile environments preferred.
• Physical dexterity to perform testing accurately.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Proficient in reading and complying with SOPs.
• Experience with laboratory information systems and data entry.
• Experience in cGLP or cGMP regulated laboratories.

Responsibilities

• Assist in sterility testing method suitability checks and cGMP/cGLP compliance.
• Prepare and organize samples for sterility testing, including handling and storage.
• Prepare solutions, reagents, and media with accurate measurements.
• Enter, verify, and maintain test data in LIMS.
• Maintain and care for lab equipment, glassware, and utensils.
• Keep lab areas clean and manage biohazard waste per procedures.
• Assist microbiologists with equipment maintenance and routine operations.
• Track and manage sample data using FIFO practices.
• Participate in routine lab maintenance and inventory checks.
• Follow sterile lab safety protocols and BSC standards.
• Communicate with QA, Client Care, and teams to support workflow.
• Perform other duties and special projects.
