Job summary

Eagle Analytical in Houston, TX is seeking a Microbiologist I to perform routine microbiological testing and environmental monitoring in a cleanroom setting. You will ensure data accuracy and compliance with cGMP/cGLP, SOPs, and regulatory standards.

The role involves supporting continuous improvement, cross-functional collaboration, and training new team members while handling samples and documentation with precision.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Microbiology, or related field.
• Experience or familiarity with cGMP/cGLP environments is a plus.
• Strong understanding of microbiological principles and lab protocols.
• Proficient in data entry and laboratory information management systems.
• Ability to work in a cleanroom with appropriate PPE.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine microbiological testing, environmental monitoring, and sample handling per SOPs.
• Conduct sterility and endotoxin testing as part of routine analysis.
• Monitor clean rooms and interpret environmental monitoring plates.
• Maintain chain of custody and manage aliquoting, storage, and shipping of samples.
• Document data accurately in accordance with cGMP/cGLP requirements.
• Assist training and onboarding of new team members as needed.
