Job summary

Eagle Analytical in Houston is seeking a Microbiologist II to independently perform advanced microbiological testing in a cleanroom setting, ensuring regulatory compliance and SOP adherence. You will evaluate data, maintain sample custody, and support cross-functional projects while training others.

The role emphasizes instrument maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement in collaboration with QA and client teams.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree with relevant microbiology laboratory experience.
• Experience in cGLP or cGMP environments is a plus.
• Strong microbiology principles and data interpretation.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced microbiological testing (sterility, endotoxin, particulate matter).
• Review schedules and ensure timely sample collection and testing.
• Maintain chain of custody for all samples (aliquoting, storage, receipt, shipping).
• Participate in continuous improvement and cross-functional projects.
• Calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot lab equipment to meet deadlines.
• Adhere to SOPs and regulatory requirements (ISO 17025, cGMP/cGLP).
• Draft and review SOPs; communicate results clearly in writing.
