Job summary

Eastside Medical Center is seeking a Central Sterile Technician to maintain standards for instrument set assembly, decontamination, inspection, and sterilization to support timely patient care.

The role involves sterilization, assembly, and storage of medical supplies, collaborating with Perioperative Nursing staff to provide instrument sets and case carts, and maintaining continuous workflow with a focus on customer service.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of a Central Sterile Tech required.
• In lieu of CST Certificate, 3 years of Central Sterile experience required.

Responsibilities

• Maintains recommended standards for set assembly, decontamination, inspection, containerizing and sterilizing surgical instruments in an accurate and timely manner.
• Performs sterilization, assembly and storage of medical supplies and equipment.
• Collaborates with the Perioperative Nursing staff to provide sterile instrument sets, equipment and case carts in an accurate and timely manner.
• Assists in maintaining consistent and continuous work flow, providing superior customer service.
