Job summary

Eastside Medical Center is seeking a Central Sterile Technician to maintain standards for instrument set assembly, decontamination, inspection, containerizing and sterilization. You will perform sterilization, assembly, and storage of medical supplies and collaborate with Perioperative staff to deliver sterile instrument sets and case carts with precision and timeliness.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED; CST certification preferred, or 3 years Central Sterile experience in

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED is required or
• Graduate of a Central Sterile Tech program is required or
• If CST certificate is not held, 3 years of Central Sterile experience is required

Responsibilities

• Maintains recommended standards for set assembly, decontamination, inspection, containerizing and sterilizing surgical instruments in an accurate and timely manner.
• Performs sterilization, assembly and storage of medical supplies and equipment.
• Collaborates with the Perioperative Nursing staff to provide sterile instrument sets, equipment and case carts in an accurate and timely manner.
• Assists in maintaining consistent and continuous workflow, providing superior customer service.

Education

H.S. Diploma or GED

Graduate of a Central Sterile Tech

In Lieu of CST Certificate, 3 years Central Sterile experience
