Job summary

Northside Hospital is seeking a Sterile Core Technician to coordinate the flow of surgical case supplies between SPD and the OR and to support daily case flow. You will assist in projects and quality initiatives while promoting service and teamwork.

Responsibilities include training and resolving OR frictions, with emphasis on instrument knowledge and color vision acuity. Night shift hours apply, and prior sterile processing experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of Sterile Core Technician experience preferred.
• Certified Central Service Technician with 2 years of surgical processing experience.
• Visual color acuity dependent on unit role.
• Surgical Technologist with 5 years of operating room experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the flow of surgical case supplies between the Sterile Processing Department (SPD) and the OR to facilitate case flow.
• Oversee daily activities and support process improvement and quality initiatives.
• Provide training, education, and resolution of OR frictions to promote customer service and satisfaction.
