Job summary

Belmar Pharmacy in Youngtown, Arizona, is seeking a Sterile Compounding Technician to join our team. You will interpret formula worksheets, compound medications, and maintain aseptic processes under supervision of a Lead Technician and licensed pharmacist.

Responsibilities include weighing, mixing, recording lot numbers, and ensuring proper storage. Must maintain clean room standards (USP 797/800) and follow safety regulations. Prior compounding/lab experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Must read, understand SOPs and guidelines related to the process
• Registration with Florida DOH as a licensed technician is required upon hire
• Compounding and/or laboratory experience preferred
• Excellent attention to detail
• Awareness of health and safety regulations
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
• Ability to work in varied positions for prolonged periods

Responsibilities

• Measures, weighs, counts, and compounds medications
• Mixes pharmaceutical preparations according to logs
• Enter correct lot numbers and expiry dates for records
• Maintain proper storage and security conditions for drugs
• Prepare and compound sterile products
• Maintain clean room to USP 797 and USP 800 requirements
• Follow aseptic techniques in BSC and LAFW
• Complete Hand Hygiene and Garbing qualification
• Use a repeater pump
• Manage inventory and complete labels, logs, and reports
• Clean equipment and sterilize glassware
• Meet efficiency metrics while upholding quality
• Maintain HIPAA confidentiality
• Perform other duties as assigned
