Job summary

JobRx, Inc. is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacists in a hospital setting with cytotoxic and other high‑risk medications, handling preparation, labeling and documentation under supervision.

The role requires a Michigan Pharmacy Technician license, a high school diploma or GED, and at least one year of hospital or retail pharmacy experience, with strong record-keeping and aseptic handling skills.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or GED.
• Requires a valid Pharmacy Technician license from the State of Michigan.
• Requires at least one year of hospital or retail pharmacy technician experience.
• Ability to maintain records and perform calculations.
• Ability to safely handle cytotoxic and other special drugs and work aseptically.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision, prepares and pre-packages chemotherapy medications and other meds requiring special handling.
• Reads and transcribes prescription orders and prepares prescription labels.
• Maintains appropriate records of medications dispensed.
• Prepares preliminary drug therapy monitoring forms for pharmacists.
• Restocks dispensing areas and maintains cleanliness of the aseptic work environment.
