Qualifications

• Pharmacist license required in Florida and in good standing with the state board.
• Experience or strong interest in sterile compounding and USP 797 familiarity.
• Knowledge of DEA regulations and controlled substances handling in compounding/hospital settings.
• Strong attention to detail and clinical judgment for medication safety and QA.

Responsibilities

• Oversee sterile compounding processes and verify prescriptions.
• Ensure all medications are prepared in accordance with USP 797, DEA, and state regulations.
• Review medication orders, check technician work, document procedures, and participate in QA/CI activities.
• Collaborate with prescribers and team members to resolve medication-related questions.
• Contribute to training and mentoring of pharmacy staff and support inventory management for sterile products and controlled substances.
