Job summary

Hephaestus Pharmacy in Florida seeks an on-site Staff Pharmacist to oversee sterile and non-sterile compounding in a new facility, ensuring quality, compliance, and patient safety. Reporting to the Pharmacist in Charge, you will collaborate with technicians and healthcare providers to deliver patient-specific therapies.

You will lead a team, implement policies, monitor ISO environments, and manage inventory while expanding licensing as needed, contributing to a fast-growth startup mission.

Qualifications

• PharmD degree or equivalent required.
• Active Florida Pharmacist license in good standing required.
• On-site availability 5 days a week required.
• Experience launching/managing new pharmacy facilities required.
• Experience with sterile compounding and USP 795/797/800 standards required.

Responsibilities

• Policy implementation: develop and maintain compliant procedures.
• Environmental monitoring: ensure ISO-compliant environment through QA processes.
• Medication preparation: compound medications per prescriptions.
• Team leadership: hire, train, and supervise technicians.
• Product development collaboration: align sterile production with patient demand.
• Compliance updates: stay current with regulatory changes and standards.
• Healthcare collaboration: work with physicians and nurses to optimize therapies.
• Inventory management: manage prescriptions, inventory, and vendor relations.
