Job summary

Ascension St. Vincent's Southside Hospital in Jacksonville, FL seeks a Pharmacy Technician to perform sterile compounding, support patient assistance programs, and help ensure safe, effective therapies.

You will collaborate with pharmacists, patients, and clinicians to coordinate care, secure prior authorizations, optimize inventory, and maintain compliant, high-quality pharmacy operations.

Qualifications

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience.
• Pharmacy Tech credential by PTCB or Florida Board of Pharmacy registration required prior to hire/date.

Responsibilities

• Execute sterile compounding and manage the Patient Assistance Program to support complex therapies.
• Advocate for patient medication access by securing prior authorizations and identifying financial assistance.
• Optimize inventory and supply logistics, maintain automated dispensing systems, and ensure medication availability.
• Coordinate patient care by liaising between pharmacy, patients, and external healthcare professionals.

Education

High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience

Associate's degree/Technical degree
