Qualifications

  • Florida Registered Certification required.
  • One year hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
  • Sterile and non-sterile compounding experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of automated dispensing/storage technology preferred.
  • Ability to analyze, organize and prioritize work.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in oral and written form.
  • Ability to handle difficult situations with critical thinking and professional composure.
  • Ability to understand and follow instructions.

Responsibilities

  • Assists in designing, coordinating and implementing high quality pharmacy technician services.
  • Adheres to policies regarding sterile compounding.
  • Maintains record-keeping and training documentation.
  • Inspects storage and labeling of medications and expired medications; completes inspection documentation.
  • Promotes teamwork with pharmacists and technicians.
  • Assists in budgeting and patient billing research.
  • Attends educational seminars to maintain skills and competencies.
  • Maintains professional appearance and a safe environment.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
