Gifted Healthcare is seeking a Stepdown Nurse (RN) to provide patient care in a transitional unit where patients require a higher level of monitoring than med-surg but less than ICU. You will evaluate patient progress, adjust medications, and work closely with physicians and the health care team to ensure continuous, high-quality care.

The role features 3 x 12 day shifts on-site in the Birmingham area. Ideal candidates are licensed RNs with strong assessment skills and the ability to recognize

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and monitor patient’s progress, identifying sudden or subtle changes in the patient’s medical condition
• Calculate drug dosages, titrate meds, administer continuous medication infusion, and monitor patient responses
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care
