Job summary

Gifted Healthcare is seeking a Stepdown Nurse (RN) to provide patient care in transitional units in Birmingham, AL. The role focuses on evaluating patient progress and identifying clinical changes to intervene promptly.

The RN will calculate drug dosages, titrate medications, and monitor continuous infusions while coordinating with physicians and the healthcare team to ensure safe, effective care during nights. 3 x 12 Night shifts are available.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and monitor patient’s progress, identifying sudden or subtle changes in the patient’s medical condition
• Calculate drug dosage, titrate medication doses, administer continuous medication infusion and monitor patients for effects of medication
• Stepdown RNs work closely and collaborate with physicians and all other healthcare professionals
