Job summary

UCI Health is seeking a skilled RN for a step-down unit, where you will plan and provide patient care, interpret ECG rhythms, and respond to life-threatening emergencies. The role includes supervising and delegating tasks to support staff as appropriate to scope of practice.

Qualified candidates will hold a California RN license, BLS, ACLS, and a basic dysrhythmia course, with ACLS within 6 months for new grads; extensive teamwork and communication skills are essential.

• Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System
• Current CA RN license
• Current BLS Certificate
• Successful completion of Basic Dysrhythmia Course
• Current ACLS Certificate; New Grad RN must obtain ACLS within 6 months of hire

Responsibilities

• Orientates to the planning and provision of nursing care to patients in the step down unit.
• Accurately interprets ECG rhythm and manages care of patients during life threatening emergencies.
• Orientates to the supervision and delegation of care responsibilities to ancillary personnel commensurate with their scope of practice.
