Position Overview

This position involves assessing, planning, directing, and evaluating patient care as a nurse.

Essential Job Functions

• Plan, prioritize, and deliver age-specific and specialty-appropriate nursing care, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
• Follow physician's orders in delivering nursing care.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.
• Adhere to infection control, isolation procedures, and aseptic techniques.
• Collect laboratory samples and perform lab testing per policies, COLA, and CLIA regulations.
• Perform admission, discharge, and transfer procedures.
• Prepare equipment and supplies for diagnostic or treatment procedures; assist with procedures or treatments.
• Handle care according to legal, hospital, departmental policies, and nursing standards as defined by the State Board of Nursing.

Other Job Functions

• Complete all Quality Assessment activities and documentation.
• Attend staff and mandated meetings.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree or Nursing Diploma required; BSN preferred.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse without sanctions.
• At least 2 years of full-time RN experience in Telemetry/ICU or related healthcare positions.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA or ARC; PALS strongly preferred (ENPC may substitute for PALS).
• Fluency in English, both written and oral.
