Job summary

Tennova Healthcare- North Knoxville Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide patient-centered care across multiple units, including critical care, ER, OR, and specialty areas. The RN will follow the nursing process, coordinate with physicians and the healthcare team, and ensure high-quality outcomes for patients and families.

Responsibilities include assessments, medication administration, education, and participation in life‑saving interventions such as CPR.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of the nursing process and clinical nursing practices.
• Ability to perform thorough patient assessments and communicate findings effectively.
• Proficient in administering medications and monitoring for side effects.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in documenting patient care.
• Knowledge of safety standards, infection control, and quality improvement initiatives.
• RN license in state required; BCLS required; ACLS/PALS/NRP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver patient-centered care per nursing process.
• Document assessments and changes in condition.
• Administer medications and monitor for side effects.
• Collaborate with physicians and nurses to develop care plans.
• Respond to emergencies and participate in CPR/Code team.
• Educate patients and families on care and post-discharge instructions.
