Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in education or related field.
• Illinois license required prior to hire; ESL endorsement preferred.
• Comfort using educational technology tools and curiosity about emerging tools including AI.
• Ability to build and maintain positive, collaborative relationships with students, families, and colleagues.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated professionalism and reliability, with timely delivery of tasks.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver rigorous, standards-aligned instruction for secondary students.
• Analyze student progress data to inform instruction and interventions.
• Provide clear, timely, actionable feedback to support growth and mastery.
• Integrate instructional technology to personalize learning and increase student agency.
• Uphold student culture by enforcing the code of conduct.
• Serve as an advisor, mentoring students with daily advisory lessons and conferences.
• Lead a C Day club aligned to student interests.
• Provide weekly office hours and targeted academic support beyond class.
• Maintain accurate gradebooks and student records.
• Collaborate with special education staff to meet diverse learner needs.
• Communicate proactively with families about student progress and challenges.
• Participate in school events and professional development.
