Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in education or related field.
• Illinois Professional Educator License with appropriate content-area endorsement (required prior to hire); ESL endorsement preferred.
• Comfort using educational technology tools, with curiosity to learn about emerging tools, including AI.
• Ability to build and maintain positive, collaborative relationships with students, families, and colleagues.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Professionalism, punctuality, accountability, and ability to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver standards-aligned instruction for secondary students.
• Analyze student progress data to inform instruction and interventions.
• Provide clear, timely feedback to support growth and mastery.
• Integrate instructional technology to personalize learning.
• Mentor a group of students as an advisor and conduct advisory sessions.
• Design and lead a C Day club aligned to student interests.
• Collaborate with special education staff to meet diverse learner needs.
• Communicate proactively with families regarding student progress.
