Job summary

Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science in Miami, FL seeks UBMS Academic-Year Mentor to support the Saturday Academy. Role involves facilitating hands‑on math/science activities and off‑site excursions during the Sep 2026–May 2027 window.

We welcome candidates with a STEM degree and teaching/mentoring experience, and bilingual abilities (English/Spanish or English/Haitian‑Creole) are preferred to serve diverse youth populations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field, or near completion (Junior/Senior).
• Minimum 2 years of teaching experience in formal or informal settings.
• Minimum 2 years of mentoring/coaching with underserved youth preferred.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate science and math courses with hands‑on activities.
• Coordinate with staff and partners on classroom needs.
• Mentor and role model for underserved high school youth.
• Help students develop and present science projects.
• Ensure student safety during activities.
