Job summary

Science Museum of Minnesota seeks an Learning and Instruction Specialist within the Center for STEM Education. You will develop and deliver participatory STEM learning experiences for K-5 students, youth, families, and educators, while modeling inclusive teaching practices and equitable access to resources.

Collaborate with colleagues across divisions to craft new programs, evaluate outcomes, and update curricula.

Qualifications

Design and deliver professional development programs for adult learners/educators.
Experience facilitating informal/formal learning experiences for a wide range of audiences.
Knowledge of STEM trends, practices and standards for local, state, and national initiatives.
Knowledge of research and implementation of STEM equity and inclusion best practices.

Responsibilities

Develop and deliver CSE programs for school audiences (primarily K-5), in large or small groups, virtual or in-person.
Develop and deliver CSE programs for youth, family, and educational audiences (PreK-8), onsite or offsite, virtual or in-person.
Support educator professional development workshops, Lending Library consultations, and other educator resources, virtual or in-person.
Collaborate across divisions/departments to ensure successful program delivery and learning experiences.
Lead cross-departmental experience development workgroups and manage budgets, timelines, and stakeholder needs.
