Blackhawk Technical College seeks an energetic Natural Science Instructor to teach chemistry and biological sciences and to deliver laboratory-based instruction across multiple sections. You will design, assess, and update curricula to align with transfer pathways and workforce needs, and you will work within the Integrated Science Center to support hands-on lab experiences.

The role requires a Master’s degree in biology or a related field, credentialing for Biochemistry and related sciences,

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Biology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Chemistry, or closely related discipline.
• Credentialing requirements to meet college standards in Biochemistry and related labs are expected.

Responsabilités

• Provide instruction for chemistry and biological science courses in line with course competencies and standards.
• Facilitate laboratory instruction in college lab environments and support multiple course sections as appropriate.
• Develop and maintain curriculum in applied sciences to ensure transfer readiness and workforce relevance.
• Contribute to new science curriculum and programming including biotechnology coursework and lab experiences.
• Collaborate with faculty and leadership on lab operations, safety, and instructional materials.
• Assess student learning and participate in program improvement activities.
• Create an inclusive classroom that supports diverse student backgrounds and goals.
• Maintain accurate student records and coordinate with Student Services for student success.
• Stay current in biochemical sciences, lab practices, and instructional technology.
