Job summary

iCode Costa Mesa is seeking an enthusiastic Instructor to work with kids, guiding them through our project-based Belt System curriculum in coding, robotics, and technology. You’ll personalize instruction, foster a supportive classroom, and provide weekly progress updates to parents.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED (or college students), strong communication, reliability, and the ability to work evenings or weekends. Flexible part-time scheduling is available.

Qualifications

• Genuine enthusiasm for working with kids; experience with children ages 5–18 preferred.
• Positive, outgoing personality with excellent people skills.
• Patient, encouraging, and adaptable communication style.
• Dependable, punctual, and comfortable working evenings and/or weekends.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to manage a classroom and hold kids' attention.
• Works independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Create a fun, encouraging, and engaging classroom experience for every student.
• Know each student individually and adapt approach to personality, pace, and learning style.
• Maintain an orderly, positive classroom at all times.
• Teach class material according to iCode's curriculum and guidelines.
• Provide weekly progress updates to parents.
• Assess, record, and report on student development and behavior.
• Treat all students fairly and professionally.
• Be a dependable presence on shift.
